Newly re-located from Gauteng to the Garden Route, Ruben brings a wealth of guiding and hosting experience to the Garden Route. He is also sole owner of Tactical Angler and online and “real shop” supplier of quality fly and spinning gear based in the Garden Route.

Adventure On Fly Pledge: When we are guiding we don’t fish, its 100% about our clients. It's your day and your mission plus we don’t fish to ensure our clients get our full attention and the best possible shot at catching fish.
We offer demonstration/advice on casting and stripping techniques but we don’t do this with the intention of catching fish. When we do fish, it is on our own time to seek out new waters and check on how our favourite waters are fishing.
Fly Casting: To give you the best possible chance to catch a great fish, we would like to suggest that all clients have an accurate and reasonably long casting ability. If you would like a casting lesson and you are based in Gauteng, we would advise getting hold of Mark Yelland: 083 616 0505. We can also offer a casting session/lesson on the Garden Route prior to your fishing day. Note: We have found the majority of our clients that have strong casting ability get much more out of their day with us.
